Drop-off boxes will be located outside the main office to deposit the markers. Thank you in advance for participating! With the help of people like us across the country, the Crayola ColorCycle program can keep tons of plastic out of landfills each year.  Remember, don’t throw out that used marker—ColorCycle it!

2.     On behalf of the Anti-Bullying Committee- Share a Compliment and Make Someone’s Day.   A compliment to another person can brighten another person’s day.  Just like snowflakes- compliments come in all sizes and no two are alike.  This month students will be making their own creative snowflakes to hang in the school hallways.  Each student will write a unique compliment on their snowflake.  These compliments are not to one specific person but rather an example that others may use in the future.

8.         The S.O. is proud to sponsor our 3rd Annual Adopt A Soldier Program.  Our soldier is stationed overseas and could use our support.  We will begin collecting today through November 10.  We are collecting powdered drink mixes, trail mix, protein bars, crackers, baby wipes, soap(bar only), card games, toothbrushes and toothpaste.  In the past we have sent over 8 large boxes of items to our soldier- let’s try to break this record.  Most importantly, we want every student to write a letter to Specialist Ramsook and his 11 member team- thanking them for their   service.

10.     The Eastview Art and Music Departments are once again working together to create a video tribute to our veterans.  This video honoring the friends and family members of the Eastview community who have served our country in the armed forces will be presented during our “Veterans Day Musical Salute!” on Friday, November 6th.  This year’s video tribute to our veterans will also be made available for viewing on the Eastview school website. 

We will only be accepting digital photos this year!  If your picture is not currently in digital form and you are unable to scan it at home, please ask a teacher to help you scan your photo here at school. 

All pictures to be included in the video tribute to our veterans should be emailed to Mr. Hommez at matthewhommez@wpcsd.k12.ny.us by Friday, October 23rd.
