Grade Level Grants are one way we provide
enrichment programs that PTA funds and helps
coordinate. Each grade receives $1500 from
PTA to use towards a field trip or an academic
program. To name a few, last year we funded
the 1st graders trip to the Maritime Museum and
the 4th graders enjoyed a Comic Storytelling
workshop from a visiting cartoonist/artist,
Josh Bayer. Both programs will resonate with
the students long after they concluded.
Another fine example is our School Assembly
program. Assemblies take place either in the
gym or auditorium and provide a learning
experience in a fun, relaxed setting. We schedule
5 assemblies throughout the school year and
allocate $7,000 to these events. The children
love them and it is a delight to watch their
faces as the performers and artists share their
craft. PTA supports SO MANY other events
and I urge to come to our meeting to learn more.
what’s in store for this year. We kick-off the
school year with the “Welcome Back Tea”
and “1st PTA Meeting” on Wednesday, September 3rd
at 8:45am in the cafeteria.
Bring a blanket and a picnic dinner to the
“Back to School Picnic” on Friday, September 12th
& connect with our Patriot community. Our fall
fundraiser, Charleston Wrap, starts on the first day
of school and is a great way to support PTA.
We would like to thank you all in advance for
your support. If you have any questions, please do not
hesitate to contact any board member.
We look forward to seeing you all soon!
