Ü The White Plains Public Library offers free after-school homework help from a White Plains “Teacher-in-the-Library” for children through grade 6 in the the Children’s Library. Drop in on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays 4 to 7 p.m. and Thursdays 4 to 6 p.m. when school is in session (excluding school vacations). The live Online Tutor @ the Library program is available for students in grades 4-12, who can use this service daily from 2 p.m. until closing for online tutoring session on computers in the Library. White Plains residents can connect to homework help from home by logging onto the library web site at http://www.tutor.com/whiteplains/. Have your library card number handy. Help is available in math, science, social studies and English. The Online Tutor can also be accessed from the White Plains Youth Bureau from 3:00 – 8:30, Monday through Friday in their computer lab at 11 Amherst Place, 422-1378.
