  • Concert Closet

The Concert Closet is a project aimed at making sure all students are able to fully participate in the White Plains music program by providing concert dress clothes to students who otherwise may have trouble affording them. Please donate lightly used white and black dress shirts, mens’ and womens’ dress shoes, black pants, and concert dresses to Concert Closet in order to help each student feel included in the White Plains music community! The Highlands collection box is located in the MAIN OFFICE. The collection period will be until the end of April. Thank you for your support!

  • Community Service

The Community Service Club will be hosting an April School Supplies Drive to benefit the Better Futures Mentoring Program run by Lifting Up Westchester (formerly Grace Church Community Center). The Brighter Futures Mentoring Program provides individual and group tutoring to extremely at-risk youth in order to help them perform better academically and encourage them to strive for education beyond High School. Their ultimate goal is to have those students be the first in their families to attend college and the last to live in poverty. Donated school supplies can be dropped off in the collection box in the main office or in Mr. Vela’s room, Room 209 beginning on Monday, March 28. Attached is a list of supplies needed by the program.
