Eastview 7th-grade students spent all day on May 22 learning about the Civil War as part of a ongoing curriculum. The students learned about Life on the Battlefield, about tending to the wounded, Civil War music with historical musician Linda Russell, played a bit of Civil War baseball and learned how to make Civil War-era food -- Johnny cakes and sauteed apples and cinnamon. Students, divided into seven different "regiments," moved through seven different Civil War stations throughout the day.
