anne frank scene 1 White Plains High School will present "The Diary of Anne Frank" with five performances April 26 through April 29, including a free open dress rehearsal on Thursday, April 26, at 3:30 p.m.

Directed by WPHS teachers Seren Cepler and Doug Cronk, the well-known drama tells the story of an intelligent young girl whose diary became a record of her Jewish family's struggle to survive in hiding during World War II, as Hitler's armies invaded the city of Amsterdam. The play is based on the best-selling book, Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl.

In addition to Thursday's free rehearsal, performances are: Friday, April 27, at 7 p.m.; Saturday, April 28, at 2:30 and 7 p.m.; and Sunday, April 29, at 2:30 p.m. Tickets for the Friday through Sunday performances are $10 for adults, $5 for students, District faculty/staff, and senior citizens. The performance will take place in the High School's little theater, located downstairs from the auditorium.
