Congrats to 7th Grade Chorus members Tessa Schaap & Chasida Taylor who recently performed at the Organization of American Kodaly Educators (OAKE) Conference at the Atlanta Symphony Hall. Students were selected by audition to participate in the Youth Choir made up of 185 singers from across the United States. Well done ladies!
Tigers Win 3rd Annual Dave Basso Memorial Baseball Tournament
WPHS won the tournament by defeating Harrison HS 2-0 on a 1 hitter from Sean Nicholson, and then defeating Valhalla HS in the championship game 7-2, on a combined 1 hitter from Lukas Repetti & Andy Iglesias. Sean Nicholson was named tournament MVP.
Congratulations to junior Melissa Preudhomme, who received the bronze medal in the NAACP's Afro-Academic, Cultural, Technological and Scientific Olympics (ACT-SO). Melissa competed against students from all over Westchester County in the Visual Arts category. Well done, Melissa!
7th Grade Chorus Members Joanna Zepeda, Tessa Schaap, Michael Briggs, Abigail Mejia, Juan Velez and Julia Sanchez participated in the Westchester County School Music Association (WCSMA) Choral Festival at Suny Purchase on March 8th. The young singers had the opportunity to sing with students from all over Westchester County.
The White Plains PTA Council hosted its 2nd Annual Free Book Celebration this weekend. Over the course of two days, May 2 & 3, the PTA gave away an estimated ten thousand books to students in the White Plains School District.

Symphonic Band member, David Rojas Munoz has been selected to perform Ludwig van Beethoven’s Piano Sonata No.8 in c minor “Pathetique” at the 79th AMTL Young Musician’s Concert at Carnegie Hall on Sunday, May 11th. Congratulations David!
